Maruša is an ambitious and passionate mountain biker from Kamnik, Slovenia. Her unique name, a blend of family heritage and cultural influences, reflects her adventurous spirit. Growing up in a family of outdoor enthusiasts - her father a mountaineer and mountain rescuer, her mother a trail runner and football fan - Maruša was naturally drawn to the outdoors.

Her journey into mountain biking began in 2016, inspired by her younger brother's involvement with the Kamnik Mountain Biking Club. She was hooked from her first ride and her love for the sport has only grown since.

For Maruša, mountain biking means freedom, passion and a personal journey in nature. Looking to the future, she dreams of competing in World Championships and World Cups, with the ultimate goal of representing Slovenia at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Balancing her athletic ambitions with her education, Maruša is determined to stay healthy, work hard and follow her dreams.
