Dominik Meierhofer is a passionate ultracycling athlete from Austria. When he is not working as a motorhome technician, he spends his time with his girlfriend and their young daughter or, often, on his bike. Even for vacations, it’s no surprise that he prefers to travel by bicycle.
His journey in the sport began at the age of 20, when he discovered his love for ultracycling. With determination and perseverance, he has since made a name for himself in this demanding discipline. What fascinates him most is the constant push to his limits: whether it’s a 24-hour race or a multi-day ride, the physical exhaustion, mental endurance, and the drive to keep going are what fuel his passion.

For Dominik, ultracycling is not just about athletic achievement. “It is a way to explore countries and landscapes in a truly immersive way.” On two wheels, he experiences changes in climate, scenery, and environment firsthand.
Looking ahead, he hopes to see more public awareness for ultracycling. The incredible effort behind this endurance sport is something many still underestimate.
In 2024, Dominik achieved his biggest dream: participating in the legendary Race Across America (RAAM). But he is far from finished. He is already planning how to tackle the race even faster in the years to come.
