About

Nicole Göldi is a professional e-mountain biker. Sport has always clearly been an important part of her life as the Swiss biker, who lives in St. Gallen-Rheinthal, took part in her first cross-country race at the early age of 6. Nicole developed a passion for cycling through her father, who is an avid mountain biker and raced a few regional races himself. Nicole used to love watching her dad at the races and knew one she would follow in his footsteps.

Up until she was 12, Nicole raced mountain bikes in the summer and skis in the winter. When she was approached by a sports school, she had to make a decision of which sport to follow seriously and chose mountain biking. She competed in cross-country and cyclo-cross until she decided to switch to e-mountain biking in 2021. In the last two years, the young Swiss rider has already celebrated some great successes, including two World Championship titles, World Cup victories and a win in the overall World Cup.

Nicole is happy to have taken this path. "I have the privilege of getting up every morning and doing what I love and what many dream of. E-MTB is a sport that you can't compare to normal cross-country. Everything is much faster and it’s a major workout on the entire body because the bike is nearly as twice as heavy compared to a normal cross-country bike.
For the future development of her sport, the young Swiss rider would like to see the sport become more accepted by the public and for e-mountain biking to be viewed as a real performance sport.

Nicole's biggest dream would be to take part in the Olympic Games. However, the sport would first have to become part of it.
